Drew brings over 15 years of recruitment experience to Portland Partnership, having worked in some of the world’s leading firms across London, Hong Kong, Edinburgh, and now back in Newcastle where his focus is on the North East and Central Belt of Scotland.

He’s spent much of his career working across both accountancy and legal practice, with particular expertise in senior and partner-level recruitment. Whether supporting a strategic hire or advising on long-term talent planning, Drew combines a strong commercial understanding with a calm, relationship-led approach. He’s someone clients turn to not just to fill a role, but to get a clear, informed view of the market.

Drew co-founded Portland to build a consultancy rooted in quality over quantity where the advice is candid, the insight is sharp, and the partnerships actually feel like partnerships. Outside of work, Drew’s often in the kitchen usually cooking something ambitious, occasionally overcomplicating it. He’s calm under pressure, quietly competitive, and known as the more measured of the two co-founders… though Damian might disagree.
