About the Role

This role is ideal for a fully qualified accountant looking to take ownership of audit assignments while continuing to develop within a supportive and well-established team.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services across a varied client base, gaining exposure to a mix of assignments while building strong client relationships. Alongside audit work, you’ll also be involved in the preparation of statutory accounts, allowing you to maintain a broad and well-rounded skillset.

With increasing responsibility and regular interaction with senior stakeholders, this role offers a strong platform for progression and continued professional development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered in line with internal procedures and professional standards

  • Preparing detailed audit plans and discussing key risks and approach with senior stakeholders

  • Monitoring the progress of assignments, ensuring work is delivered within agreed budgets and timelines

  • Identifying and resolving issues throughout the audit process, escalating where appropriate

  • Reviewing and supervising the work of junior team members, both on-site and in the office

  • Taking ownership of key audit sections, ensuring all work is completed accurately and ready for final review

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, including larger and more complex cases

  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and applying this effectively across client work

  • Building strong working relationships with clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
