About the Role
This role is ideal for a fully qualified accountant looking to take ownership of audit assignments while continuing to develop within a supportive and well-established team.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services across a varied client base, gaining exposure to a mix of assignments while building strong client relationships. Alongside audit work, you’ll also be involved in the preparation of statutory accounts, allowing you to maintain a broad and well-rounded skillset.
With increasing responsibility and regular interaction with senior stakeholders, this role offers a strong platform for progression and continued professional development.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered in line with internal procedures and professional standards
Preparing detailed audit plans and discussing key risks and approach with senior stakeholders
Monitoring the progress of assignments, ensuring work is delivered within agreed budgets and timelines
Identifying and resolving issues throughout the audit process, escalating where appropriate
Reviewing and supervising the work of junior team members, both on-site and in the office
Taking ownership of key audit sections, ensuring all work is completed accurately and ready for final review
Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, including larger and more complex cases
Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and applying this effectively across client work
Building strong working relationships with clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
